BARLINE is a top-down arena shooter played over drum and bass that is synthesised live at 174 BPM. Your guns fire on the sixteenths, and every shot that lands on the kick is bigger and hits twice as hard. Enemies arrive on the bar: triangles that chase you, squares that circle and fire on the snare, hexagons that split into three, and a boss every fifth wave.

You have three lives, spread and shield pickups, and a chain multiplier that goes up to x8. The track builds with the waves and with your chain. Play with keyboard and mouse, a gamepad, or two thumbs on a phone.

Controls: WASD or arrows to move, mouse to aim, hold to fire. P or Esc pauses, M mutes. Contains flashing and screen shake; a reduce-effects option is on the title screen.
