HALFDARK is a step sequencer and pad kit for sketching drum and bass in the browser. Kick, snare, closed and open hats, ride and a reese bass, all synthesised as you play, no samples. Start from a two-step, amen-style, halftime or roller pattern, or play the pads and record hits straight into the grid. Bounce four bars to WAV when something sticks.

To share a pattern, press Share and send the link. To open one you've been sent, press Share, paste it under "Load a pattern" and press Load.

Controls: click a step once for a full hit, again for a ghost note, again to clear. Space plays and stops. Pads: Z kick, X snare, C hat, V open hat, B ride, N reese. Click inside the app once so the keyboard reaches it.
